Bottle jack or Ram jack is wot ur gonna need. A scissor will be too imprecise and u'll hav no change wit a trolley jack. Bottle jack will set u bak bout £10. If d wood is rounded, it will make it easier as the metal will fit round d contour of d wood, if it is squared off tho its no big deal. No probs m8, ne time. Speak 2 u in a bit n gud luk wit it ok? Hey m8, gud 2 hear from u agen. Heat guns r ok but it will strip ur paint from the arches so u'll hav 2 re-do 'em. Easiest way 2 do ur arches: 1, take off ur wheels. 2, heat ur arches till they are just toasty (as in u can still put ur hand on them but only 4 a few seconds). 3, Take a block of wood (approx 6" long n 1/2" thick) place it in the highest point of ur arch. 4, Get a jack (preferably a hand jack with a VERY short crank handle as remember..... u've only got limited space to crank the handle under the arch) place the jack horizontally in the arch with the 'jackin' bit facing u, ie the side. Jack it out by 8mm 1st (just in case it goes wrong as its easier to jack somethin further out than it is to jack it back in???) move the jack and block of wood (either right or left of original position) and jack out 6mm, repeat until 1 half of d arch is dun, then repeat until uda half is dun. 5, put the wheel back on and check depth and rollin of the arch (u want to make sure dat the ground work is dun b4 givin it d finishin touches) TOP TIP: MEASURE TWICE ROLL ONCE!!!! If ur happy, repeat process with all 3 other arches. use the heat gun agen but this time heat the arches up A LOT so that u can't touch them, this will make smoothin the contours of the arch back in much easier (u may not need to do this if the arch hasn't broken any of its contour lines, check by eye 1st!) Hey m8, yeah I'm gud fanx. Xmas n New Yr were ok, jus can't remember most of it???? Spose that means it mustav bin gud rite??? If they don't give u the lights back they are breakin the law set out by Trading Standards which covers u as u r a UK citizen. Refund or Return product is all they can offer u unless they r prepared to swap the lights for RHD like u need. Hope dat helps. Drop me a line if u need netin.
It depends on the coilovers, some are designed to be able to be adjusted when fitted on the car, while others are only adjustable off the car. I think Koni do a set of Coilovers for A3's but I'm not sure. I know a guy who has a set of coilovers on his Corsa and he says that it was really hard to get them adjusted just right, but then agen, he bought cheapo ones. The lights I wud get wud cost bout £180- 190, thats with delivery and a one year Gaurantee.
